NY police arrest man after he defends his home from burglars.
NY state cops arrested a 64 year old man after he shot two home invaders.
Why? The pistol he used, once owned by his father, wasn't registered with the state.
Well, I'm glad those brave, brave officers who showed up after the burglary took that menace off the streets. And they didn’t even have to use Red Flag laws.
Do you wear "Molon Labe" shirts? Do you display a "We Back the Blue" yardsign?
You have to pick one, not both. They will follow their orders, even if their orders are to enter your home and take you to jail for possessing a pistol that you have already been forced to defend your life with.
Think this is just NY? It'll come to your state too, to your county. It’ll come to your doorstep. Don’t say you weren’t warned. And if you’ve voted in more than a handful of meaningful elections (Boomers, I’m looking at you...), then this system is your creation. Don’t blame millennials for this. They didn’t give themselves participation trophies, and they haven’t been voting long enough to shoulder the blame for creating this monster.
And yes, the police officers who knocked on this man’s door do have a choice. If "the vast majority" were really what you all tell me they are, then the lawmakers wouldn't be able to make these laws. No one would be enforcing them.

Nationalists gain in Europe Union Parliament
The EU parliament (boooo) wrapped up their round of elections only to see that while the EU favoring parties held majority, nationalist forces have won major gains.
Europe has always had a strong nationalist culture somewhere in the corners, hidden away, but still as alive as it ever was. Now they're figuring out how to take some power back.
With any luck, we will see the likes of Marine LePen, Geert Wilders, Viktor Orban and other nationalist leaders gain more influence. I'd certainly like to see their nationalist ideals rub off on Trump and some of our "leaders".

Brexit Party leads polls in U.K.
Nigel Farage and his Brexit Party appear to be leading some polls in Britain.
Labor Party drops to second place. This is not unexpected to anyone with two brain cells, though it should have been, and it seems to be inducing some heartburn for the leftists in Europe. They've been doing all the finagling they can come up with to stave off Brexit and it looks like the British people have not forgotten their original goal of exiting.
The anti-Brexit party, called Change U.K., polled at basically zero. Appropriately abbreviated CUK.
A full Brexit is good for nationalists, bad for globalists. Cheer them on.

CSG - Improve your pistol marksmanship
We all like to imagine some upcoming conflict where we jump out of bed like minutemen and grab our chosen battle rifle or carbine and rush to save the day from Commie forces or AntiFa or Muslims or MS-13 or whomever it is I'm supposed to dislike this week. The fact of the matter is, your defensive pistol marksmanship is much more likely to come into use prior to that happening. Right now we don't live in an environment permissive enough to strap on a long gun and go about your day in Walmart, unfortunately.
CSG has this to remind you, get outside, get shooting, get proficient.
There are a lot of us freedom bloggers out there and every time I read an article, I agree with some, or most, of what is said. Often I will agree with all of it. Rarely do I read an article that accurately sums up frequent thoughts of mine almost uncannily. This one does it. Simple, basic, essential.
1. CSG mentions that it's important to practice from a "covered" position, i.e., you need to strap on your IWB holster and cover it like you would in town. Practice drawing (CAREFULLY) and firing. You'll be surprised (if you've never tried it) how long it takes to get uncovered and drawn and acquire a target, and then fire a controlled pair (you are doing controlled pairs more than single rounds, RIIIIIGHT?) and score two hits. I guarantee you'll assailant can physically reach you before you complete that cycle, even if they're 25 feet away when you start to draw.
2. Hitting multiple targets is vital because this is 2019, not 1989, and home break-ins aren't what they used to be. Once upon a time you'd get a guy trying to crack a window and sneak around, and then run away when you wake up. Now it'll be four guys who kick your door in and bumrush your family while you're eating dinner. But that's okay, because you carry inside your home, RIIIIIGHT? Like the article says, the El Presidente drill is perfect for learning to engage multiple targets. I love the EP drill, invented by none other than Colonel Jeff Cooper.
3. They mention accuracy. Not much to say here. You have to score hits. You have to score follow up hits. Pistols are not known for "stopping power". You need center of mass hits and you need more than one. This is also where the "Mozambique" drill comes into play, AKA the Failure to Stop drill. You know, two in the chest and one in the head. Rhodesian mercenary Mike Rousseau is the guy who first tested this one for us. Successfully, of course.
4. Quick reloads and clearing malfunctions. Make it muscle memory. You don't rise to the occasion, you fall to your level of training.
5. Lastly, they mention shooting on the move. This is vital because, like I said earlier, an attacker can reach you before you draw in most cases. If you're not a stationary target, it buys you time.

It appears that the Chinese will be implementing a kind of "social credit score" in their society in order to ensure that the populace behaves and thinks the correct way.
People with low scores will have a recording on their warning incoming callers to be careful dealing with that individual. People are to be publicly embarrassed, denied the better modes of transportation, skipped over for jobs and loans, etc.
Think this can't come to America? Heck, are you "awake" enough to think that it WILL?
How about this? It already has. I've talked before, as have many freedom-based bloggers, about how we must do everything we can to limit the amount of information those who hate us would possess about us. Well, it's too late for that now. Every electronic device, EVERY one, that is linked to the internet and has either a screen, lens or microphone, is collecting information about every within reach, right now. Look at your phone. Turn it off.
Guess what? It's still on. And it's collecting. Smart TV? Collecting. Smart fridge? Collecting.
And you think they're collecting that info for nothing? You think they can't use anything they've collected to hurt you?
And if you think I'm making it up, if you think this former intelligence collector is pulling this out of his rear-end with no frame of reference, then go in peace.

Red Flag Laws are the “door to door confiscation your mother (and I) warned you about.
In states all over the country, red and blue, led by both Republicans and Democrats and supported by voters of both parties, we have seen the proliferation of so-called “Red Flag Laws” (RFL). What are these laws exactly?
They allow the advance confiscation of firearms from a persons property based on little more (or in most cases nothing more) than someone, ANYONE, reporting to “authorities” that the person may have said, done or otherwise indicated at some point in time that they might be a danger to themselves or someone else at some point in time in the future. The law enforcement is able to go and forcibly confiscate all firearms from that person.
Due process comes later. That’s the problem with the laws. You can have your guns taken away and be forced to undertake a lengthy and costly legal journey in order to get them back, all because someone accused you of being dangerous. They don’t have to have proof. They just need the “authorities” to believe them enough to do it.
Obviously the legal process of getting your guns back is the punishment in itself. That’s the whole point.
I’ve had voters from both parties (since apparently we’ve only got two parties) tell me they support these laws. I had a Republican Congressman tell me to my face that he supports them. Obviously the Democrats do.
If you have ever been to my blog even once you’re probably well aware of the general concern in what I’ll call “right wing circles” of a widespread, door-to-door firearm confiscation. The dreams of how that will take place vary widely from tongue to tongue but for all intents and purposes, it’s assumed that the Feds would love it if one day they were able to achieve Feinstein’s plan to have “Mr. and Mrs. America turn ‘em all in”, or Hillary’s implementation of “Australian-style gun control”.
With that understood by the 130 or so readers I have passing through here per day, thank you all very much, I’m sure you can all see how these RFL are the confiscation we’ve been warned about all along. RFL allow the state to use ANY reason they desire to go to your home, enter it and take your firearms away from you.
Make an angry, politically-charged Facebook post? A RFL can and has been used to confiscate someone’s guns.
Make a Twitter post that “authorities” interpret as being Islamophohic? A RFL can and has been used to confiscate someone’s guns.
You get in an argument with your woman and piss her off? A RFL can and has been used to confiscate someone’s guns.
Spare me the talking points on the legal limits of RFL at the present time. All they needed to do is get the laws into place. Rest assured they will be administratively and bureaucratically tweaked and adjusted so that it gets EASIER for the Oakleys to kick your door in and HARDER and MORE EXPENSIVE for you to get your guns back.
RFL are the tool that’ll be used to get guns away from anyone and everyone that they don’t want to have them.
All the talk that’s been had in your group about being quiet about your guns... Put that into action now. Ditch the NRA stickers, stop the good old boys gun discussions down at the local watering hole, remove the vanity pics from Facebook (why do you still have FB?). No one needs to know about your guns if they don’t live in your house.
Please reference this post, and put it into action. All of it. It won’t be easy, but it’s time now. The legal framework for taking your guns away simply for being a wrong thinker is in place. The local Kommissar has his eyes open and the Oakleys will be knocking on your door when they get the order.

Bill Buppert on being gray with your guns.
We all like to talk about being the “Gray Man” and keeping ourselves under the radar. The time to tighten down heavily is upon us, and if you’re not being gray with your guns, then you’re not being gray at all.
Please take what Bill Buppert has to say on the subject and implement it.
My thoughts and agreements:
1. This is likely to be the hardest one for me and for many others. Even Mr. Buppert admits to having to remind himself frequently. For anyone who grew up in gun culture, this is tantamount to giving up a habit, like smoking (no, I don’t smoke, but you get the point). It’ll be a conscious effort and your ego may have to take a backseat on occasion.
2. This may also be hard, especially if you’ve got a large amount of guns, or ammo or other paraphernalia. It’s not easy to keep it all away from view, but as the post says, maybe distribute it all around. Could include some outlying caches. See? Being gray isn’t so boring if you get to have a “cache”.
3. This shouldn’t be that difficult if your ego is mature. Be aware of non-gun related paraphernalia that could still tip people off. I usually wear a multicam ball cap. That alone might be enough to flag me.
4. Don’t be an ass.
5. Don’t act like a woman.
6. Anyone you invite into your house is either very close to you on a personal level, or they are casing the place. That’s it. One or the other. Just because they’re not (always) casing it for burglary, doesn’t mean they’re not casing it.
7. See part 1 above.
8. A lot of the gun publications these days are crap anyways. I wish Mel Tappan’s old column was more easily found.
9. I too am a fan of open carry (OC) and I will debate you on that issue if you are inclined (and there I am breaking rule number one). However, OC is obviously not gray. That I won’t disagree with. What I will debate anyone on is the merits of OC in some situations. Sometimes OC is a good thing.
